Speaking of air conditioning...I am shopping for either a window unit or a portable air conditioner. However I am stymied by the fact that the outlets by the windows are not grounded...and everything I am looking at requires a grounded outlet and also needs to be vented...which means it needs to be by a window. Today I have a call in for the electrician to see if he can install grounded outlets by the windows. Let's hope he can do it soon for I do not want to endure anymore days such as the last few when the temps in my house were in the mid-80s (F)!!!
In spite of the heat, I served brunch yesterday to two dear friends that are like family to me. We have all known each other for over 40 years so the conversations ranged from current aches & pains (yup) to laughing at memories of our antics when we were younger...and the memories of dear friends no longer with us. It was a nice day I believe for all of us.
Now it is Monday and the weather is blessedly cooler. In today's Daily Word from Unity, there is a quote from James Dillet Freeman: “I have been alone under the sky when suddenly I was one with all the beauty and wonder and glory of the world. The sky was not high enough, the horizons were not wide enough to hold my heart.”
So today I am going to release these minor frustrations and know and realize that they are only momentary. In their place I am going to fill my heart and soul...my whole being...with joy and appreciation for the wonderful day.
E'nuff!
