Last night (Thanksgiving Eve) we had a light dusting of snow. There was no forecast for snow yet while I was baking pies I glanced out the window and to my delight saw big gentle snowflakes dancing through the evening sky..
There is so much to be thankful for this year. So many changes have happened. There have been good moments and horrible moments. Yet as I stood at my kitchen window and watched the snow fall, I realized how happy I am...and gave a silent prayer of thanks to God for all the blessings in my life.
Today's Daily Word from Unity had a phrase that echoed what was and is in my heart today: "With gratitude, I let family and friends know they are blessings in my life. I remember those who are not with me today but most certainly hold a place in my heart."
Now it is Thanksgiving morning...and it is a frosty November morning here in Northwestern Wisconsin. The sun is starting to touch the sky to the east. And my soul is singing in thankfulness...
"Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings." ~William Arthur Ward
“Fear not November's challenge bold—We've books and friends, And hearths that never can grow cold: These make amends!” ~Alexander L. Fraser
