So I walk out on the deck that is at the back of my house. The first thing I notice is a big pile of poop in the yard...and I thought "horse"? I walked over to the railing and asked my neighbor (who was now on the street too) what is going on. His reply: "There is a mother bear and three cubs in your tree."
I turned around and there they were! In the above pic you cannot see the cubs very well for they were small and obscured by the leaves...however you can see one just above and a bit to the left of the mother bear.
Needless to say that after I took this picture and a couple of others, I closed the sliding glass doors and locked them! The bears remained there for quite awhile and the reason I know that is because of all the people that were stopping their cars to watch them. Eventually the police showed up too. Then at sometime in early evening the bears came down and left...and I never saw them leave.
Tuesday I dodged tornadoes in the afternoon. Yesterday I had bears in my backyard. Welcome to life in the northwoods!
Today's Daily Word's thought that meant so much to me: "I feel comforted when I affirm: God is my help in every need."
E'nuff!
