The numbers for Wisconsin: 60+ deaths, number infected 2,267 (these figures are from yesterday, Sunday, April 5).
Meanwhile in Washington the #republican administration of Olde Pucker Lips continues to flounder around on a scale that defies belief. Instead of words that would unify the country, words that would guide the country, words that would let us know we are all in this together...we get lies and gaslighting. The one thing that is fully on display is that the Trump administration is incapable of governing this once great country.
On a more personal level I have to quote a good friend: "I feel like I am a Maytag washing machine: wash, rinse, repeat." The days now blend into each other in an endless blur. I am now in my fifth week of physical distancing and there is no end in sight.
So...I keep plugging along...and I am thankful for a warm and comfortable home, for the companionship of my cat and for my love of reading. Reading allows me to visit the world without ever leaving my living room.
