CJ (aka Casey Jones) Lysdahl...he arrived on 11/21/09 and this picture was taken that evening. The little rascal had traveled from Indiana to California that day. He was tired but not in the least bit cranky...and explored his new home thoroughly before crawling up and settling on to his "Dad's" chest and going into deep kitten sleep.
...and now CJ is four years old. How can I sum up the last four years? The first few months on occasion a fleeting thought would cross my mind such as "have I ever made a mistake!" LOL! You know, though, I would not trade these four years in for anything for I love CJ and he is quite the roommate: loving, rascally, and he keeps my life filled with love and laughter.
This picture was taken December 24, 2012, using my Galaxy S III Smartphone. I'd stopped at a little shop called Christmas by the Cove (Rockaway Beach) to pick up some last minute gifts. This beautiful sunset was happening as I walked out the store (wonderful little gifts purchased and wrapped)...so I stopped and took this picture. When one lives in a place as naturally beautiful as Pacifica, CA, it is tough not to take a good picture.
Did I ever tell you about the Wisconsin/Minnesota visit a few years ago. It will be another posting...but meanwhile please enjoy the picture...
Omigosh...so many years ago...it was a wonderful weekend at the cabin. When I arrived Saturday afternoon the temps were mild, the sky was blue, and we all went off wine tasting. Over night the snow set in. I was sleeping in the "great room" and the roof of that room is sheathed in tin so as the rain started and I drifted of to sleep all thoughts dissipated to the sound of rain. In the wee hours the sound of rain ceased and the quiet woke me up...the quiet of a steady and heavy snow. This picture is of the morning after.
Is life memories...or is it living and creating memories? Or is it that the culmination of life's memories influence who we are today?
Please forgive me for the picture of the Christmas tree from Christmas, 2012. Yet, as I embark on this blog I cannot help but think of all the memories I want to share for indeed they do make up the fabric that is my life. In the coming weeks, days and months...if you choose to follow this blog...we may enjoy this journey together.
Family, friends and home are the treasures that bring me the most pleasure. Through my blog, I wish to share part of my life and heart with readers.
