The federal government remains out of control under the leadership of Ole Pucker Lips aka #DiaperDon. There are shortage on everything, hospitals are being overwhelmed, and average Americans on a daily basis are being put in harm's way because of this #republican administration. This #republican administration is totally and completely incapable of strategic thinking and strategic planning.
However, I digress. I find myself often thinking about the past holiday season. Little did any of us think as all of us eased into the year 2020, that it would be months (if ever) before we would be able to see each other again in person. I personally realize the intrinsic value of a warm and loving hug; and, of sitting at a table with a loved one and talking...or sharing a meal. My family and I all love to cook and now we cook for our immediate selves only. There will be no more shared meals for the time being.
And I admit I also miss running errands and being able to stop for a meal at a restaurant before heading for home.
Don't get me wrong...for I know I am in a better place than many. I am retired and my home is secure and has generous space. Via streaming I have easy access to music and all the movies and TV shows I could want.
So...if it sounds like I am complaining...I am really trying not to but instead just trying to describe life as it is right now. This too shall pass, right? As the "Daily Word" from Unity put it so well today: "Today I look beyond anything that troubles me and, with faith, I affirm wholeness, peace, prosperity, and love, all aspects of my birthright as a spiritual being."
