This morning before I awoke I found myself once again walking along the north shore of Amacoy Lake on a chilly November day. The chill November wind rustled the reeds, the cold lake water restlessly lapped against the shore, and the trees had already lost their leaves and were nothing more than dark branches against the steel blue sky. Ahead of me the family dog happily trotted in our afternoon outing. Together we crossed the springy boards of the footbridge that spanned a rushing stream as it entered the lake. Then I woke and as I lay there in the silence and darkness of morning, I grieved for the young boy that once was, I grieved for my dog, and I grieved for my parents because in the surety of that dream they were all there.
Family, friends and home are the treasures that bring me the most pleasure. Through my blog, I wish to share part of my life and heart with readers.
