The great California drought has left us impoverished for water. This picture was taken about 10 years ago when it used to rain during the winter...and we had what was "winter" here in Northern California. It was taken on a warm spring morning when the willow were getting ready to leaf out...and flowers were blooming everywhere.
This year is different thought for it is year four of the drought. I've not been along the trail from which this photo had been taken...but as I gaze out my window at what once was a grassy and green courtyard...all I see is brown dirt.
One has to wonder when this drought will end?
