With my warm mug of coffee in hand, I step onto the porch. Steam curls upward, meeting the crisp air, and I breathe deeply, grateful for the way October sharpens the senses. The air carries a promise—mystery woven into every breath, into every rustle of leaves underfoot. Even the silence feels alive, threaded with unseen whispers.
Later, I walk among the October woods, the path soft with fallen leaves. Their crunch and rustle sing beneath each step, a reminder that time is always moving, always renewing. Shafts of sunlight slant through the canopy, catching in the gold and crimson, painting the forest with light that feels sacred. There is wonder in every detail: the coolness against my cheek, the fragrance rising from the earth, the sound of the wind stirring branches like a gentle hand.
October carries mystery, yes, but also generosity. She invites us to notice the small miracles—the way shadows stretch across a golden floor, the way a single red leaf can stop us mid-step, the way the cool air reminds us of both life’s brevity and its beauty.
And so, on this new day, I pause. I sip. I breathe. I walk. I listen. And I carry with me this blessing, a reminder from Dr. Wayne Dyer:
"Use your present moments to activate thoughts that are in harmony with creativity, kindness, love, beauty, expansion, abundance and peaceful receptivity."
