There was a time in my life when nothing...and I mean nothing...would have kept me home on a Friday night. Then years passed and my patterns changed so that the best feeling in the world was to get home on a Friday night and lock the door (lock out the world and the work week) and settle in with a fire in the fireplace and a glass of wine. Last night was no different. I got home, put dinner in the oven, CJ had his dinner, and by 7:30pm we were both dozing! LOL

CJ taking a snooze on his favorite stool which is right in front of a window looking out into the woods and hills of Pacifica, Ca (365 Days of CJ)
My little scamp...my little buddy...my family...CJ is all of these. He is also so dang photogenic! (365 days of CJ)
This past weekend I was afflicted with a nagging sinus infection. Saturday afternoon I took the doctor prescribed meds, pulled the comforter up over me, and settle back on the couch for an afternoon snooze. CJ joined me in the afternoon snooze for he loves this comforter...and this pic is of his little face when I woke up.
When CJ was a kitten he had a kitten bed. I realized he had outgrown it when he started to pick it up and carry it around in his mouth. Then he got a kitty bed. I realized he had outgrown in when he no longer fit in it in spite of his best efforts. Now he has a mid-sized doggy bed, and he fits perfectly!
Here along the coast of Northern California we are experiencing an extraordinarily cool July week...the high temps have only been in the 50s (F). Consequently last night as I was reading on the couch, I covered myself with the comforter that my mother had made. CJ loves that comforter and before too long he buried under it with only his tail sticking out. This pic caught him finally emerging with a flurry of kitty purrs.
